“I have got dáo fu fah and soybean milk, selling cheap! Would you like some aye?”

*

Speaking of dáo fu fah, what springs to mind would be a world-weary old man on his beat-up and rusty bike, cycling around i

n circles, shouting out aloud, hoping to attract customers with his voice box. Fast forward to today, it is no longer a vintage bike but a mini white moving truck travelling from streets to streets, wishing for better luck every single day, rain or shine. This is what comes into our heads over dáo fu fah. What about you, what kind of reminiscence does dáo fu fah rekindle for you?

*

Subtle and delicate; inventive and appealing. This is how we perceive this word to be. You? What could you make out of this word, how about you give it a try?

“Disembarking and settling in KL, I couldn’t help but realise the homogeneity in the dessert market. Numerous dessert places are merely jumping on the bandwagon, putting forward comparable menus, resulting in the scarcity of novelty and breakthrough especially in the industry of traditional desserts.”

“Henceforward the launch of this business by my brother and I, anticipating and working towards further innovation and greater advancement in the market of traditional desserts.”

*

Holding two branches of dáo in possession, the notion and approach has consistently been around tradition, culture as well as heritage, be it in the settings, displays or the presentations of their desserts. Thereby the antique and old-fashioned wallpapers and décor; along with the familiar taste of their very own dáo fu fah and ice desserts. Let’s not overleap the part of them sticking to solely using natural and raw ingredients, dropping the preservatives and colourings, all just so they can keep the very classic desserts of theirs as they are.

*

Nevertheless, they have also been audacious and bold in constantly creating and innovating, envisaging to bring their dáo fu fah up a notch and never to remain in mediocrity.

The weather has been blazing hot the past few days, hasn’t it? How does getting some frozen and chilled desserts sound to you? “Dáo” not long ago introduced an entirely fresh series of chrysanthemum desserts, ranging from Chrysanthemum syrup dáo fu fah. Hesitate no more and beat the scorching heat in dáo!

“Being Cantonese people ourselves and clutching on the idea of preserving traditions, the name came from our very own dialect.”

*

Again, it is the element “dáo” that they use to produce and manufacture every single one of their dáo fu fah and soybean milk. Ergo the answer A!

*

They have never gone astray from their belief of keeping to an old tradition as well as growing and flourishing this treasured Guangdong culture of theirs, anticipating their customers to also be able to feel the light bliss and delight while enjoying their desserts. Go ahead you guys, give “dáo” a go and hopefully you sense the same contentment that we did!
